ANNUAL SHAREHOLDER MEETING – SEPTEMBER 1

The Woodley Recreation Association Annual Shareholder Meeting will be Sunday, September 1, starting at 7:30 PM under the pavilion.  Both shareholders and non-shareholders are encouraged to attend.  Please come and provide your input and share your thoughts.  This year’s meeting will be particularly important as we will be discussing long term planning, future capital improvements, membership limits and policy changes, financial and operational status of the association, and plans for the 2014 Season.  Also, an election will be held for 5 of the 9 Board Members.  We are still accepting nominations.  (Note: You must be a shareholder to vote.)

WINE & CHEESE (& GUITAR & BANJO) – SATURDAY NIGHT

Wine with cheese, guitar, and banjo does sound like a strange pairing but it actually turns out quite well.  Dave Sturges and Bobby Joe will be providing the music again this year for the final Wine & Cheese event of the season.  Meet under the Pavilion on Saturday, August 31, from 7:00-9:00 (or maybe even later) for the last Woodley Wine and Cheese Party of the 2013 Season.  Bring a bottle of wine to share.  Cheese, crackers, corkscrew, and cups will be provided.

While the Wine & Cheese is for the adults, the facilities and pools will be open for all members and guests of all ages as usual.

FAMILY POTLUCK DINNER – SUNDAY NIGHT

The end-of-season Family Potluck Dinner will be Sunday, September 1, starting at 6:00.  Please bring a main dish to share and either a side dish or a dessert.
